On a sublime winter solstice evening in Austin, TX, two soulmates joined forever in an utterly unique celebration of love. Accompanied by guitar played by the bride’s older son and a friend, the couple walked down the aisle in the company of their dearest loved ones. Her youngest stood by their sides as the groom’s best man. Candlelight and gorgeous blush blooms integrated with symbols of the couples faith and personal journey decorated the ceremony site; guests lit and placed votives, symbolizing their support and agreement with the beauty represented in their union.
This is the epitome of a backyard wedding. Whether winter, summer, spring or fall, the classic and elegant look is seasonless. The bride’s heart’s desire was to get married beneath a large oak tree. She found this fabulous house through AirBnB with the perfect backyard. Strung up with twinkle lights, decorated by her creative friends, florals by the groom’s aunt -nothing could have been more perfect! The bride hired her friend to coordinate -something I highly suggest, particularly with a DIY wedding. You need a coordinator so you can enjoy your day, not field questions and decorate everything yourself.
